My name is André Mendoza, I’m a Mechatronic Engineer graduated from Tecnológico de Monterrey. I’m passionate for what I do, engineering is fascinating to me and it’s something I enjoy partaking in. I believe in a constant learning and self betterment process, at the moment I might not know everything, but I am very eager to keep learning.
<aside> <img src="/icons/factory_gray.svg" alt="/icons/factory_gray.svg" width="40px" /> Research Intern Massachussets Institute of Technology (August 2024 - March 2025) As a research intern at MIT’s FrED Factory Advanced Manufacturing and Design Laboratory, I focused on manufacturing education and hands-on learning. through immersive technologies. I designed modular workstations and factory layouts for optimized student engagement, collaborating on the development of a high-mix, low-volume gamified learning factory using Manufacturing Execution Systems. I also co-authored a research paper, on the matter, covering the academic impact of these practical innovations.

Robotics Competition). My role involved robot design, prototyping, and repair, along with serving on the pit crew during events. I gained valuable experience in competitive strategy and teamwork across both national and international tournaments, as well as my first experience with CAD design during the lockdown season.

My studies covered several car systems, including powertrain, manufacturing, and electrification, broadening my understanding of the automotive industry, from the cars themselves to their manufacturing.
